Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maruyama Oshin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. In the Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I auction, the work Two Camels sold for EUR 4,032.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maruyama Oshin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers and grasses of the four seasons, which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,374.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maruyama Oshin erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I wurde die Arbeit Two Camels für EUR 4.032,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maruyama Oshin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers and grasses of the four seasons beobachtet, die im März 2012 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.374,53) versteigert wurde.
