Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Japanese Art and Design, which included the work Camelia and small birds on plum branch by Maruyama Oshin. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,318.09). Admittedly, works by Maruyama Oshin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers and grasses of the four seasons in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,374.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Japanese Art and Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Camelia and small birds on plum branch von Maruyama Oshin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.318,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maruyama Oshin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers and grasses of the four seasons im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.374,53).
