Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art Online, which included the work Rooster and Hen by Maruyama Oshin. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,268.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maruyama Oshin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers and grasses of the four seasons in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,374.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rooster and Hen von Maruyama Oshin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.268,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maruyama Oshin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers and grasses of the four seasons im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.374,53).
