Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lucile Brokaw, Harper's Bazaar, 1933 by Martin Munkácsi was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 2,394.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Munkácsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Die Solotänzerin "Gerda Juré", Städtische Oper, Berlin, Vers 1930 in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 97,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lucile Brokaw, Harper's Bazaar, 1933 von Martin Munkácsi kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.394,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Munkácsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Die Solotänzerin "Gerda Juré", Städtische Oper, Berlin, Vers 1930 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 97.500,00.
