It achieved a price of EUR 10,200.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 57 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Martin Monnickendam; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Het concert: at the concert sold at auction in April 2005 with the realized price of EUR 13,200.00.

Die Arbeit The Artist'S Society Arti Et Amicitiae, Amsterdam von Martin Monnickendam kam im Oktober 2006 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.200,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 57 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Martin Monnickendam; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Het concert: at the concert im April 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 13.200,00.
