Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Streetscene; A Synagogue Interior by Martin Monnickendam was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. The price achieved of EUR 2,280.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martin Monnickendam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Het concert: at the concert in April 2005 with an auction result of EUR 13,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Streetscene; A Synagogue Interior von Martin Monnickendam wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.280,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Monnickendam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Het concert: at the concert im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.200,00.
