Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art, which included the work Still Life With Bananas by Martín La Rosa. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,948.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martín La Rosa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lo Que Queda Del Tiempo in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 31,000.00 (€ 19,922.88).

Im Oktober 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Bananas von Martín La Rosa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.948,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martín La Rosa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lo Que Queda Del Tiempo im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.000,00 (€ 19.922,88).
