In November 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Still Life With Bananas by Martín La Rosa. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,831.89), 72% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Martín La Rosa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lo Que Queda Del Tiempo sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of USD 31,000.00 (€ 19,922.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Bananas von Martín La Rosa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.831,89) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Martín La Rosa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lo Que Queda Del Tiempo im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 31.000,00 (€ 19.922,88).
