In the American Art auction, the work A Branch of Apple Blossoms sold for USD 150,000.00 (€ 136,128.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Johnson Heade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Florida Sunset in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,850,000.00 (€ 5,538,723.73).
