Sold at the lower estimate price
In June 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Kleine Liege by Martin Dammann. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,843.20) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Dammann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mein Gott (My God), which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,251.56).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kleine Liege von Martin Dammann zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.843,20) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Dammann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mein Gott (My God) beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.251,56) versteigert wurde.
