Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work The young naturalists by Mark William Langlois. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 614.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Mark William Langlois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The toy vendor in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,346.00 (€ 5,020.23).
