Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kennedy Family Photographs, c. 1963 by Mark Shaw was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,160.00 (€ 1,691.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audrey Hepburn for Life Magazine during filming of the 1954 Paramount production Sabrina, Los Angeles, 1953 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,816.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kennedy Family Photographs, c. 1963 von Mark Shaw kam im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.160,00 (€ 1.691,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Shaw erzielen.
