In June 2019 Christies in Paris held the auction Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection, which included the work Audrey Hepburn, 1953 by Mark Shaw. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,000.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audrey Hepburn for Life Magazine during filming of the 1954 Paramount production Sabrina, Los Angeles, 1953 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,816.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn, 1953 von Mark Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.000,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn for Life Magazine during filming of the 1954 Paramount production Sabrina, Los Angeles, 1953 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.816,35).
