Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mark Shaw could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection Part II auction, the work Fur Hat, Dior Dress, 1950s changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 987.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audrey Hepburn for Life Magazine during filming of the 1954 Paramount production Sabrina, Los Angeles, 1953 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,816.35).
