In October 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Jackie Swings Caroline in Water, Hyannis Port by Mark Shaw. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,615.48), 62% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mark Shaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Audrey Hepburn for Life Magazine during filming of the 1954 Paramount production Sabrina, Los Angeles, 1953 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,816.35).

Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jackie Swings Caroline in Water, Hyannis Port von Mark Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.462,50 (€ 7.615,48) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Shaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn for Life Magazine during filming of the 1954 Paramount production Sabrina, Los Angeles, 1953 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.816,35).
