Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Two Boys with a Fish from Faith by Mário Macilau. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,634.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mário Macilau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cercle De Mémoires, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 19,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Boys with a Fish from Faith von Mário Macilau zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.634,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mário Macilau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cercle De Mémoires beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 19.500,00 versteigert wurde.
