It achieved a price of GBP 3,276.00 (€ 3,816.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Admittedly, works by Mário Macilau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cercle De Mémoires in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 19,500.00.

Die Arbeit Untitled 2 (from The Price of Cement series) von Mário Macilau kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.276,00 (€ 3.816,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mário Macilau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cercle De Mémoires im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.500,00.
