Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work My Toy (from The Grand Hotel series) by Mário Macilau was sold in the A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection auction at Christies in London in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,276.00 (€ 3,816.50). Admittedly, works by Mário Macilau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cercle De Mémoires in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 19,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit My Toy (from The Grand Hotel series) von Mário Macilau wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.276,00 (€ 3.816,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mário Macilau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cercle De Mémoires im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.500,00.
