In December 2020 Grisebach held the auction Herbstauktionen 2020 - Photographie, which included the work Aus der Serie „Metamorfosi della terra“. by Mario Giacomelli. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Giacomelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,279.51).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2020 führte Grisebach die Auktion Herbstauktionen 2020 - Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aus der Serie „Metamorfosi della terra“. von Mario Giacomelli zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Giacomelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.279,51).
