Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work The Chamber of Stillness by Marina Abramović. The »bidding war« ended at USD 41,910.00 (€ 39,597.51), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marina Abramović have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Life in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 319,244.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Chamber of Stillness von Marina Abramović zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 41.910,00 (€ 39.597,51) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marina Abramović auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Life im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 319.244,23).
