Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,998.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marina Abramović achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Life in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 319,244.23).

Die Arbeit The Great China Wall Walk von Marina Abramović kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.998,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marina Abramović erzielen.
