Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Jeune Homme Au Masque by Mariano Andreu was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mariano Andreu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Cirque, which sold at auction in October 2018 for EUR 100,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Jeune Homme Au Masque von Mariano Andreu im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 25.000,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mariano Andreu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Cirque beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für EUR 100.000,00 versteigert wurde.
