Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Músicos en un anfiteatro (Musiciens dans l'amphitheatre) by Mariano Andreu was sold in the 19th Century European Art, including Spanish and Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mariano Andreu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Cirque, which sold at auction in October 2018 for EUR 100,000.00.

Die Arbeit Músicos en un anfiteatro (Musiciens dans l'amphitheatre) von Mariano Andreu wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art, including Spanish and Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
