Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,707.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marian Ellis Rowan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Decorated Screen with Wildflowers, c.1880, which sold at auction in November 2021 for AUD 59,040.00 (€ 52,307.96).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.707,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marian Ellis Rowan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Decorated Screen with Wildflowers, c.1880 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für AUD 59.040,00 (€ 52.307,96) versteigert wurde.
