Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marian Ellis Rowan could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online auction, the work (Flowering shrub) changed hands for AUD 615.00 (€ 374.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marian Ellis Rowan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decorated Screen with Wildflowers, c.1880 in November 2021 with an auction result of AUD 59,040.00 (€ 52,307.96).
