Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Competition III by Maria Lassnig was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 482,600.00 (€ 554,158.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Other works by Maria Lassnig have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2019 the work Competition III was auctioned for USD 704,000.00 (€ 638,896.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Competition III von Maria Lassnig wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 482.600,00 (€ 554.158,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Maria Lassnig konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2019 die Arbeit Competition III für USD 704.000,00 (€ 638.896,45) versteigert.
