A top price for Maria Chevska - as previously expected
The work Eyeballing by Maria Chevska was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in April 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,108.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Eyeballing is the most expensive artwork by Maria Chevska that we have observed at auctions so far.
