Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aurora by Margaret Lovell was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,345.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Margaret Lovell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2016 the work Barquentine Iii was auctioned for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,258.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Aurora von Margaret Lovell wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.345,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Margaret Lovell konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2016 die Arbeit Barquentine Iii für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.258,62) versteigert.
