Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,825.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Olley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hawkesbury Wildflowers and Pears I, 1973, which sold at auction in November 2021 for AUD 159,900.00 (€ 141,667.40).
