Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marcus Harvey could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Exploding Lilly changed hands for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,796.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcus Harvey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Golden Showers in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,550.73).
