In June 2018 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Tadeusz Kantor przy Powstającym Obrazie Informel by Marcin Maciejowski. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,317.83), 74% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcin Maciejowski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Picasso'S Boy With Pipe, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,646.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 74 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tadeusz Kantor przy Powstającym Obrazie Informel von Marcin Maciejowski zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.317,83) und damit 74% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcin Maciejowski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Picasso'S Boy With Pipe beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.646,17) versteigert wurde.
