In November 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included this untitled work by Marcelle Ferron. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 77,250.00 (€ 56,296.66), 55% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marcelle Ferron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 485,500.00 (€ 372,410.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Marcelle Ferron zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 77.250,00 (€ 56.296,66) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcelle Ferron auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 485.500,00 (€ 372.410,22).
