Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Sans Titre by Marcelle Ferron. The price achieved of CAD 163,500.00 (€ 127,769.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcelle Ferron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2010 for CAD 485,500.00 (€ 372,410.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre von Marcelle Ferron zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 163.500,00 (€ 127.769,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcelle Ferron mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für CAD 485.500,00 (€ 372.410,22) versteigert wurde.
