Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Candelle, 1959 by Marcelle Ferron was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. The price achieved of CAD 88,750.00 (€ 68,687.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcelle Ferron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 485,500.00 (€ 372,410.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Candelle, 1959 von Marcelle Ferron wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 88.750,00 (€ 68.687,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcelle Ferron auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 485.500,00 (€ 372.410,22).
