Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marcelle Ferron could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in June 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Abstract Composition changed hands for CAD 13,200.00 (€ 10,125.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcelle Ferron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 485,500.00 (€ 372,410.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcelle Ferron konnte im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Abstract Composition für CAD 13.200,00 (€ 10.125,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcelle Ferron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 485.500,00 (€ 372.410,22).
