Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marcel Odenbach could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Traumatische Tropen 1 changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,216.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcel Odenbach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ohne Titel (Palestine Flag) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 32,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcel Odenbach konnte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Traumatische Tropen 1 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.216,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Odenbach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Palestine Flag) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 32.500,00.
