Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Voûte Céleste by Marcel Janco was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,403.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Janco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Romanian inferno in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,230.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Voûte Céleste von Marcel Janco kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.403,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Janco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Romanian inferno im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.230,84).
