Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora, which included the work Billy Goat by Marcel Janco. The price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,665.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Janco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Romanian inferno in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,230.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora durch, in der auch die Arbeit Billy Goat von Marcel Janco zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.665,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Janco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Romanian inferno im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.230,84).
