Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Demoiselles Dela Croix (Bucharest) by Marcel Janco was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,275.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcel Janco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Romanian inferno in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,230.84).
