Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kinneret by Marcel Janco was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,275.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcel Janco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Romanian inferno in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,230.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kinneret von Marcel Janco wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.275,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 14.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Janco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Romanian inferno im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.230,84).
