Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Poster after Self-Portrait in Profile (S. 565b) by Marcel Duchamp. The price achieved of GBP 5,080.00 (€ 5,912.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Duchamp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belle haleine - Eau de voilette in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 8,913,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poster after Self-Portrait in Profile (S. 565b) von Marcel Duchamp zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.080,00 (€ 5.912,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Duchamp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belle haleine - Eau de voilette im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.913.000,00.
