screenprint in colours, 1961, on wove paper, signed and dated in ink, inscribed 'Stockholm' and stamp-numbered 36/125, from the edition published for the exhibition Art in Motion at the Moderna Museet, Stockholm, the full sheet, a short (15 mm.) crease in the subject, some very minor handling creases in the margins, two thinned areas (where previously hinged) at the upper sheet corners on the reverse, otherwise generally in good condition

The work Fluttering Hearts (Schwarz 446C) by Marcel Duchamp was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,201.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Duchamp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belle haleine - Eau de voilette in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 8,913,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fluttering Hearts (Schwarz 446C) von Marcel Duchamp kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.201,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Duchamp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belle haleine - Eau de voilette im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.913.000,00.
