Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Metamorfosis (Espejo Rojo)(I) by Manuel Rivera was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,865.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Manuel Rivera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Espeso para una catedral in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 120,500.00 (€ 157,609.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Metamorfosis (Espejo Rojo)(I) von Manuel Rivera kam im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.865,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Rivera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Espeso para una catedral im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.500,00 (€ 157.609,27).
