Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Manuel Rendón. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,654.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 22,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel Rendón - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'exploration, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 38,240.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Manuel Rendón zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.654,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 22.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel Rendón mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'exploration beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 38.240,00 versteigert wurde.
