Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in New York held the auction MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ART, which included this untitled work by Manu Parekh. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,151.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manu Parekh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work He And She in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 49,000.00 (€ 31,002.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ART durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Manu Parekh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.151,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manu Parekh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit He And She im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 49.000,00 (€ 31.002,85).
