Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Benaras At Night by Manu Parekh was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 42,000.00 (€ 30,632.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Manu Parekh have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2008 the work He And She was auctioned for USD 49,000.00 (€ 31,002.85).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 30.632,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
