Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head by Manu Parekh was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,300.00 (€ 2,601.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manu Parekh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work He And She in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 49,000.00 (€ 31,002.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head von Manu Parekh kam im September 2006 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.300,00 (€ 2.601,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manu Parekh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit He And She im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 49.000,00 (€ 31.002,85).
