Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in Dublin held the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice, which included the work Abstract Composition 63.5 x 48 cm. (25 x 19 in.) by Mainie Jellett. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 33,280.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mainie Jellett - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pietà, which sold at auction in May last year for EUR 88,200.00.
