Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Splashed-Colour Sunflower by Mai Luowu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,465.07). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mai Luowu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ensemble, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,525.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Splashed-Colour Sunflower von Mai Luowu kam im November 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.465,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mai Luowu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ensemble beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.525,62) versteigert wurde.
