Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Ever Lasting by Mai Luowu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,501.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mai Luowu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ensemble, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,525.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ever Lasting von Mai Luowu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.501,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mai Luowu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ensemble beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.525,62) versteigert wurde.
